Challenge 1: LED Display with MakeCode Difficulty: Easy (for coding beginners) Required Materials: Microbit editor: https://makecode.microbit.org/#editor Instructions: 1. Go to the link above to open the MakeCode editor. View the demonstration link to get an idea of what you'll be making. 2. Tinker with the blocks and see what they each do. 3. Try to use LEDs and display your name, birthday, and a cool design. 4. Show it off to one of our reps! Great job! Challenge 2: Clapping Heart with MakeCode Difficulty: Easy (for beginners looking for a more applied project!) Required Materials: Microbit editor: https://microbit.org/projects/make-it-code-it/clap-hearts/, https://makecode.microbit.org/#editor Instructions: 1. Go to the link above to open the MakeCode project and editor. Read through and follow the Blocks tutorial. 2. Emulate the project so that when you clap, an LED heart is displayed. 3.
