Lighting a Path to a Better World
Engineering
Age group: All Ages
Join members of the Zheng Nanophotonics Research Group to discover how light can be used as a tool to control objects on a small scale for both fundamental sciences and daily-life applications. See how the team invents light-based tools to accelerate innovation in quantum technology and nanotechnology. The team will present research on optical manipulation of tiny objects and optical manufacturing of small structures and devices. Light, with proper design and engineering, can serve as a “tweezer” to grab particles from anywhere or as a “pen” to write down inks in any patterns. Using light as the tool, we can innovate new discoveries and make novel devices to make our world a better place.
